The Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County operates eight programs that assist low-income residents to move out of poverty focusing on four service areas: Job Training and Employment Services, Housing and Homeless Services, Immigration Assistance, and Community Building. In 2010, CAB programs assisted 7,103 unduplicated low-income people with emergency, sustaining or self-sufficiency services, as well as addressing an additional 6,658 requests for information and referral or brief services. Over 75% of CAB’s clients had a family income of less than 100% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and 83% less than 150% of the Guidelines.
The Community Action Board has 40 employees and has an annual budget of $3,139,562 in 2011.
